Duane's father had a career in the bakery/grocery business but he always wanted to be a writer.
Duane Eddy's father, Lloyd, worked at Stroman’s Sunbeam Bread in Sayre, Pa. prior to living in Corning and working CoBakCo. Then, he worked for NBC (Nabisco) when they lived in Bath and owned a little grocery store when they were in Guyanoga (Keuka Lake near Penn Yan). When they moved to Arizona, he was an assistant manager for Safeway, a grocery store chain, in Tucson. And then got his own store to manage in Coolidge, north of Phoenix.
