Frank Acomb is Corning's direct connection to Duane Eddy. He is a radio/TV producer who became an on-air personality with his own TV show, Frankly Speaking, for the local network affliate of Fox, which is broadcast from their studio on historic Market Street, in Corning, New York.
"He's not only a legend, he's a great guy." ---Frank Acomb
A little background: Frank interviewed Duane over the years for his radio and TV show "Frankly Speaking" and they became friends. Frank wanted him to be his first-ever interview on radio, and that wish eventually came true in 2017, for his 10 year anniversary show. Then, Frank advocated for Duane to be inducted into the Steuben County Hall of Fame, which he received in 2020. Frank was a fan of Duane's era of music, the greats like Jerry Lee Lewis, and he is a fan of cowboy stars like Richard Boone.

2024 "Duane" in Frank's window
Frank broadcasts his morning TV show from this window. The portrait of Duane, which we call the "cut-out," catches the eye of people walking by to stop and look. Many people take a photo of it. The sign says "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Member, 'King of Twang', Duane Eddy, Born in Corning, April 26, 1938."
It was located here from April until September 2024 and has now moved down the street to the window of Marich Music.
